For 0603 components (you're going to have to check to make sure it's not a 0805 or 1206 sized) I'd use Jameco.com or ebay.com. You need to find out what it actually is that you took off. If it's C122, then it's a capacitor, but you still need to find what value it is.

Measure it.
# 0603: 0.063" × 0.031" (1.6 mm × 0.8 mm) # 0805: 0.08" × 0.05" (2.0 mm × 1.25 mm) # 1206: 0.126" × 0.063" (3.2 mm × 1.6 mm) I really can't help you much more than that without a picture of the actual card, and the PCB revision.

![]() That's the only picture of the back of the card that I can find. They are in a row, stacked in pairs. I knocked off the one on the left in the 2nd cluster from the right.

Can you get a picture of your card?
I thought it was a component around your GPU, but since it's on the PCI-e line, you might be able to get the card to run in 8x mode... have you tried that?

I only have a cell phone camera, no go. And I'm not quite sure how to get it to run in x8 mode?
It won't display any picture at all. My keyboard and mouse light up signifying that it passed the POST, but no screen. EDIT: Just tried it in another pci-e slot, and still didn't work.

Only 2 slots, and I've tried it in both. Oh well, I am getting a 7900 GT to use temporarily from a friend until the 4870 comes out and I can buy that.

THREAD RESURRECTION!
I'm the one who traded for this 8800GT. I went to my dad's workplace and I measured the capacitance of the nearby parts. Happens to be 100 nanofarads . My father soldered on the missing part. He needed to use a microscope to do it. It ended up being kind of a sloppy-looking job, but as far as electricity flow goes it looked fine.My stock EVGA cooler didn't fit, so I tried the card naked with a powerful fan blowing onto it. Attached a single power connector (these things have two, but you're supposed to be able to use only one EDIT: this is not true; it's one for the core and one for the RAM). Did not work. Was sad. WEEKS later two days ago, I got an HR-03 rev. A on Craigslist. I figured I'd install it onto my "broken" 8800GT just to make sure I could do it before putting it onto a working part. Installed it, didn't bother with a fan. I decided to try it one more time. Using either power connector did not work. Tried both. IT WORKED totally stable as far as I can tell. So um, happy ending. It's funny how the reason it didn't work the first time was simply a matter of the power connector. The end.
