Default Is this a good deal, 8800gts 640mb for 120$?

http://fxvideocards.com/ZOTAC-GeForc...d-p-16284.html

It is 120$ but in the end it comes out for 140 dollars after tax and shipping. You do not require a rebate which is awesome. Is this a good deal? Is it worth to buy, if I only have a 8600gt? Im really tempted to buy it, but I hear its not as fast as a 9600gt or 8800gt. Thanks

Yes it's a good deal. Even though it's the older 8800gts, it's still a steal at only $120.

8800gts 640was about as fast as a 3870,so it should be probably as good as 9600gt if not better.

what resolution will you be playing at?
if 1400*900 or less you might want to think about a 8800gs. about the same price and has the newer arcitech

I have a 22 inch, but Im mainly thinking to get the card because its a good deal. Because newegg is selling it for 200 and So I am wondering if it is a good deal. My original plans was to wait until a 8800gt gets below 150 but this seemed to catch my eye.

I play lat 1680 by 1080 I think. Its a 22 inch, but rite now I only have a 17 inch ctr monitor because the 22 is at my other house.

IMO - An 8800GTS 640MB (G80) is a very good deal for $120.

Bad Deal.

You'll be running at 1680x1050. A $118 AR 8800GT would perform better.
