If u can wait, just wait for the new GPU come out and see the price. If can't wait, go with 8800 GT SLI. Here is a deal, it's pretty good. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...TfCTOPezp2Vwkw

If u use google check out, u save $10 and becomes $120 after rebate and I think it's $4 shipping.

See you can push the 9x E4300 around 3.2G. Regarding the Silverstone ST50EF, it only has 26A (max 36A) on 12v rails so it may barely makes the cut. I would start to look for a good 550w or bigger PSU. Buy.com has good price on the Corsair 550vx and 650TX.

Get a 650W PSU or similar. Corsair, Antec, Seasonic, PC Power and Cooling are all great brands

Close to. Maybe 10% difference.

Not really as at higher resolutions the CPU stops becoming a factor. A C2D at 3Ghz shouldn't affect real world performance; only benchmarks.

My friend runs a single 8800GT on a 430W and I think that the power draw of the 8800GT is 74W load (I'll find the link). Considering the PSU is of a good quality try it first and then see if you need to change to a Corsair 620HX

I could not see your location information. This $89 Corsair 650TX is a good PSU. I have one and like it.

For those games, just your single 8800gt will perform fine at 1680x1050. But if you really want to SLI, get a second.

Though, I would save the cash... use the 8800gt for a year, then buy whatever the best single GPU that comes out then is. It'll outperform SLI'd 8800gt's.

I'm running a 8800GT at 500W just fine. You can try for 650W, it will also work!

my 500w happily chugged along with my heavily overclocked (past XT speed) HD2900 Pro with my CPU running at 3.25G.

@linskingdom
http://www.pricespy.co.nz/cat_7.html#g5

This is the current prices here in New Zealand

Edit
just looking around at the prices, i can get a Seasonic S12+ 550W for 130. Will probably sell my old one for 50
