Default Why won't ATI tool see my card?

I'm overclocking my EVGA 8800gt SC using RivaTuner. It works fine, but i'm trying to stress using ATI Tool. It runs fine but simply won't detect and temps or freqs. Is there a way to get it to detect the card properly?

Did you disable driver signing when you installed it. Last time i checked you had to do that becuase it was really picky with vista. I was able to get it to work doing that but then after a restart it didnt work anymore.

I haven't done anything about driver signing. I mean, it's not too important, i can still OC in RivaTuner and stress in ATI tool, it'd just be nice to have full functionality in the latter.

Could it be to do with drivers? I have the latest WHQL from Nvidia and RivaTuner said at first "... has not been tested with these drivers". Same for ATI Tool except it simply won't work?

It is with atitool that the problem lies. When you install atitool it installs something and it wont install right without disable enforced driver signing. If you uninstall atitool then go into you device manager and uninstall the driver thing in there for it. Then restart and turn off enforced driver signing, reinstall and it should recognize your card.

That is what i had to do to make it acutally see that card so i could do more then just stress test.

It was whining about a "kernel mode" or something. I don't have time to do uninstalls and i don't really need to. But cheers for the help
