Hi guys I need some help, I built a gaming rig for my client and its having some isuse.
This is the hardware list: Mobo - Asus Striker Extreme II 790i CPU - Intel QX9770 CPU FAn - Zalman 9700LED G/Card - XFX 9800GX2 Ram - Corsair Dominator TWIN3X2048-1800C7DFIN Sound Card - Creative Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro PSU - Enermax Galaxy 1000W Monitor - HP LP3065 - 30"LCD Ok now... when I install the Vista 64bit after windows update I'm having BSOD. When install Windows Vista 64 bit and don't instal updates, it works fine, when i install the graphic drivers a get a black screen. I desided to load Vista 32bit. Its all good, windows works fine and I delivered it to the client after installing COD4. At the clients house I played COD4 @2560x1600 for about 5min when it blacked out again, on the toolboor a message: " Display Driver Stopped Responding and Has Recovered - nvlddmkm". If you continue to play then all seens fine until you quit the game and start again, then it black screens again and I have to reboot the machine. Is this setings in COD4 or driver problem, I ran 3dMark06 and Vantage and all good.

Try updating the video drivers from XFX website. It sounds like you are using an outdated driver. BTW that's a really nice system.

are you using the 64-bit drivers on the 32-bit version? You could also use some older drivers and see if you have the same problem.

I'm running x64 and had that same problem until I updated my drivers to the latest.
__________________Uninstall the current drivers, reboot in safe mode, use driver cleaner to get rid of everything and then reinstall the latest drivers. Make sure you're installing the correct drivers. They've got a specific driver for 64 bit systems.
