The 2x8800GT setup pretty much beats the GTX260 across the board. Not by a lot, and probably not in a game without a SLI profile, but ... SLI 8800GT's wins in pretty much in every test I've ever seen.

Well I got my GTX 260 and it is way better than 8800GT's in SLI. They are little close in benchmarks, but the GTX 260 blows them away in the graphics. Everything about it is much better. You wouldnt believe the improvement on things like fire. It is absolutely amazing and there is no way I would turn back. Cant wait to get my second GTX 260 so that I can SLI them together.

Stop being mean to him you idiot. We didnt forget the days you thought thermal paste wasnt needed and you got 70c on your cpu because of it.He may be wrong, but nothing like you must be bad against him.Now one thing.

My new GTX 260 clearly does better than my two 8800 GTs. In benchmarking they are very close. I am talking One GTX 260 versus TWO 8800 GTs in SLI. Benchmarking close but in performance they are not. The GTX 260 blows it away. Games run smoother and better. I can now do all settings on high and a few on very high in CRYSIS. With my 8800 GTs it was medium with a few on high. Now when I get my other GTX 260 and run them in SLI, it is not even a discussion. I am seeing first hand the difference and these people that say otherwise are just wrong. So if you considering upgrading (and it is an upgrade) from TWO 8800 GT's to the GTX 200 series, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED AT ALL!!
