Default Any pics of naked GTX 280?

Ok so the 280 is 10.5" long right? Well my mother board has a plug that may get in the way of this super long card and I was thinking to myself that I may be able to simply take off the outside case, exposing the heat sink and fan. Hopefully if i see a pic i can guesstimate if it will work. Sooo if anyone can find a link with some pics that would be great. I can't seem to find any myself

Removing the cover is only going to get you maybe a half inch.

The heatsink and fan are integrated into the cover. I don't think there's a practical way to remove the cover and still use the fan and heatsink.

You could use an aftermarket cooler though..something that doesn't extend over the edge of the card.
