Default msi warranty for nvidia cards??

How is the Warranty on MSI cards. I tried a search but only came up with motherboard warranties. Right now MSI has the cheapest GTX260 but I would like at LEAST a 1 year warranty and protection aggainst OCing. BFG has lifetime but OCing voids the warranty (can they even find out)? Also EVGA sounds the best (lifetime and OC). So anyone know?

MSI I do believe has a 3 year warranty. The warranty is based off the manufactured date, not the date of purchase.

I'd personally go eVGA, BFG, or XFX if you're buying an Nvidia based card. All three have EXCELLENT lifetime warranties.

EDIT:
I also noticed that it appears you have a Crossfire motherboard (maybe)? Is there any specific reason you're going for a GTX260? Especially when the HD4xxx series are better for the money at this time?

ATI does not do well in profesional apps (especially Rhino3d). I would love to go ATI but the 48xx has poor OpenGL performance. Work comes first!!!

Ahh, gotcha . If that's the case, then why are you even looking for a gaming card? I thought the Quadro and FireGL cards were better at professional apps.

You could always soft mod the 8800GT you currently have into a Quadro FX 3600 (I do believe its the 3600). I know its possible, I just did it with my dad's card (8600GTS into a Quadro FX 1700). That would hypothetically help out in the professional apps.

However if you're just wanting to do gaming, then I'd still have to recommend the ATI cards. But if you're going both...I'd have to say go ahead and go with the GTX series and go with whatever brand floats your boat . Like I said, eVGA, XFX, and BFG all have excellent lifetime warranties.

Spend your money on something else other than an MSI Card, I hear nothing but bad about them and the warranty process.

If it costs you $10 more or even $20 for a card from a manufacturer with a good reputation and fast turn around its well worth it. If i ever go NVIDIA again it will probably be XFX My exp with EVGA sucked my .02

I personally had a bad problem with XFX myself. They downgraded me when I had to RMA a card. 7900GS is what I sent in, they sent me back an 8600GT (downgrade). But I did still get a working card back, lol.

However all three brands (XFX, eVGA, BFG) have very respectable warranties, and each has their own good and bad qualities.

Quadros are overpriced and really arent all that great unless you use autocad or 3ds. Otherwise its really just best to go with a high powered Geforce. I also dont want to be limited. A better all around card is what i want because i game every now and then. Actually the GTX 280 outperforms EVERY quadro card on the market PERIOD. Even the 2-3,000 dollar ones.
