is this normal?
![]() that thing is friggin hot! ![]() it`s still stock and idle temp is 74c and stressed it goes over 100c! and i`ve had some BSOD`s already cause temps went over 110c ![]() i`ve got the xfx one...with a rather small heatsink + fan...i also use rivetuner to force the fan to 100% but it doesn`t help at all. ![]() should i just put an accelero S1 on it or doesn`t it help that much? ![]()

these cards dont run @ the clocks you actual see..they are oced by the pcie bus so the actual clock you are seeing isn't correct it is higher...try turning clocks down until you get the cooler..give me a link to the product

wow i just put the accelero S1 on it with some MX2 tim
and with the fans that were on my hd3870 as well... idle temp dropped from 74c all the way down to 31c ![]() and stressed temp dropped from 104c waaaaaaaay back down to 50c ![]() lol now that`s what i call a temp drop ![]() thank god the HD3870 has a pretty good stock heatsink cause that`s back on there and temps only rose to 69c (while it was 54c) so that`s no problem at all ![]() thanks guys! ![]() now i`m gonna find out what a nice OC is and try and get it higher than that ![]() cheers!

as stress test i use 3dmark06 and Folding@home GPU2 client
![]() if the point are over 5000ppd for at least one WU than the oc is stable and the temps are safe ![]() but atitool works wonders too ![]()
