Today is the day, I am going to buy a new video card to replace my stupid one now(8500gt
).I am leaning towards this card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130370) the GTX 260 ![]() Main reason being that it has free shipping and a free copy if Crysis. ![]() Will the card above run smooth with my system? My main concern is my PSU because I have no idea how video cards comply with PSUs. ![]() If you have any other suggestions, please post. (NO ATi!!!!!) I want SLI in the future!

Also, you can do 4870 at that price range. But for 17" lcd, a 8800GS or 8800GT should be fine. The XION Supernova 600W is a 600W psu but only has about 450w on 12v. One GTX260 is 182w and Oced quad can take 220w so it is fine for now but you should start looking for a better psu. Something like Corsair 750tx if you OCed quad and plan to SLI.

wow, that 8500GT is killing your PC. id say go for the 260 if it has free ship and Crysis. it will unleash your computer. though i dont know much about the maker of that PSU.

Could check out the 9800GX2 as well, or 2x 9800GTX SLI. I second the 750TX if you want SLI.

I would lean toward a 9800GTX+ you can get it for $170 on Newegg after MIR, you could almost buy 2 for $300

yah, go for a 9800gtx+ if you really don't want an ATI card, theres no point of getting the 260 since its overpriced and gets beat by the 4850 in most games.

![]() BTW, this eVGA 9800GTX+ has Crysis included as well for $169.99 after MIR. Then in two months, when the price of the GTX 260+ settles down, step up to that.

Sir, if you were looking to go SLI, I'd say take a gander at this:
__________________http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814500004 Grab two of those GTS's. Up front, you'll be about 40 bones over budget, but MIRs will compensate for that later. If that tech is too old for your liking, then I'd say jump all over this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150308 Comes out to $310 or so straight up, and there is also a $30 MIR. *Edit* Just saw the bottom of your original post about the PSU. You might be able to slide with that 600w power supply, but I would invest in a nicer PSU (Corsair, OCZ, Antec, PCP&C 700w-ish).
