ok but what about cooling issues? i'd imagine that running at such a high clock speed would heat things up rather quickly. does a volt mod have to be performed to see such high speeds? mine runs at 576mhz core clock speed right now

..I am running stock cooling, with the fan set to 100%. Load temps below 1.3v GPU, are always under 70c..so no worries there. If you want to clock the shaders past 2000mhz, you will need aftermarket cooling for sure..they are just not stable once they heat up much past ~65c OC'd to the 1998mhz strap. Lowering the strap to 1944mhz, allows for slightly higher temps while maintaining stability...so temps will affect you OC with the Vmod... it just depends on how far you want to go.

Yes, although with a BIOS flash..you could upgrade your card to a SC edition..and have 1.1v GPU also..this will allow for core clocks in excess of 700mhz. With a Vmod, you can clock to your cooling methods limits.

I fully expect to break 900mhz core speed, once water-cooled..doing a max of around 848mhz currently [core speed].

mine is actually the SC version. A regular GTS 320 runs at 500 mhz and mine runs at 576. What is it that you mentioned about the 1.1v GPU?

If yours is an SC, then it should have a higher GPU voltage than the standard GTS. As for the 1.1v GPU..that would apply to G92's ..the G80's have a higher voltage, due to their larger die size.

Do you have any info on your GPU [brand, mem size..etc] or pics of the backside of your card? I can compare your GPU to some 8800GT's..and let you know. Mainly, you will be looking for the small black 'primarion' IC chip..

I know you also have awesome drivers for the 9600GSO, but I could have sworn I saw a 9600GSO modded bios as well? I have a KFA2 9600GSO, I am not sure if that matters.

KFA = Gigabyte..? Can you post a pic [yours or someone elses] of the back side of the card for me?

**Use, 'Whodie's' mod'd BIOS..I believe he posted it in the folding section..cant 'member though..it will upgrade your GPUv to 1.1v and set higher default clocks as well.

...my drivers for folding, are linked in my sig.

Ah yes, I planned on using those drivers. I wasn't sure if it was you who made the bios, thanks

My 9600GSO is actually this one.

Dont have any pics of those..can you show me a pic of the backside of the GPU..? It looks to be non-reference PCB.. cant say for sure which mod will work yet..

so since mine is the factory OC'd version would it be recieving enough voltage to see some really high jumps in clock speed as long as I could maintain the temps?

Are there ways to tweak fan settings so I could increase the RPM's past 100%?
