so since mine is the factory OC'd version would it be recieving enough voltage to see some really high jumps in clock speed as long as I could maintain the temps?
You should be able to run your core speed up to ~720mhz..or your shaders up to ~1828mhz... but not both. Core speed for gaming..shader speeds for folding.

Are there ways to tweak fan settings so I could increase the RPM's past 100%?
..Past 100%..no, but RivaTuner can be used to lock fan speeds @ 100%.

I could tell you how to get your fan over 100% but it may not last too long.

I post schematics of mods, measurements points and photos how I did it All photos are in high resolution. These mods are for Asus 9600GSO/8800GS and probably for 8800GT 1GB which using the same PCB (but voltages may be different).

Default voltages:
vGPU - 1.21V (in stress is about 1,20V)
vMEM - 1.81V

After soldering trimmers, vGPU was 1.28V and VMEM 1.90V. Of course you can use 50K/20K trimmers, but I think that 20K/10K are better. Remember about providing some cooling for L6713A chip. I put there RAM heatsink, but even with that it can get warm. I'm planning make heatsink for mosfets (they are covered by heatsink in 8800GS/8800GT on the same PCB)

Before:
1.21V - 738/1782MHz
1.81V - 2060MHz

After modifications:
1.29V - 774/1836MHz
1.94V - 2232MHz

I thought that my card will be overclock better, maybe I try to lower GPU voltage to 1.25V.

You do all modifications for own risk!

Great work there Bartx ! Rep+ for some clean modding.

From what I have noticed so far with these GPU's.. shader clocks over ~1998mhz need at least, aftermarket cooling. I was running 808mhz core / 1944mhz shaders with stock cooling and 1.266v idle GPUv...the shaders refused to be stable to higher strap speeds. After putting them in loop on water..I am able to clock to 848mhz core / 2106mhz shaders on the same GPUv as before.

*Also important to cool any VRM's on the card..they will get very hot, surpassing ~1.25v idle GPUv.

Thanks Normally this card has Glaciator heatsink, but I had for some time TT DuOrb. Temp drop about 10-15C and I had some improvement in clocks, but temps were still about 60C I'll try soon, when I finish my SS unit for GPU

hi, I have a reference design Inno3D 9600GT I have successfully vmod to 1.15v but I also tried 1.20v and 1.25v but blackscreen immediately after benching using 3dmark06. blackscreen happens on the firefly level on 3dmark06. 1.15v was fine but it can only go 725mhz on core. I need to know how to remove the OCP protection of this reference design 9600GT. here is the link to the site which has a vmod and pics of the reference design 9600GT

You can start from soldering wires to old computer parts You find out some important things about soldering, which cannot be explain in words. If your soldering skills will be good enough, you can start vmodding your card Or you may buy before an old GPU and practice there (GF6600/7300 etc.).
