Totally off topic arakasi. I want SLI to work, I don't care about the score I'm well aware that the CPU isn't great, that's not the issue here. ALso, go into details about the system information, and it says something about linked display adapters, and gives the "false" status.


ALso; 3 and 4 way SLI can;'t even be done with these cards.

I understand what you are saying.

That is why I was giving him a reference to my dual core setup. The only difference is the CPU. Mine is clocked 400MHz higher and has 6mb cache instead of his 2mb. Although the 8800GT's should make up some of that. Anyways besides running the Hotfix I cant think of anything.

I have seen very low scores while overclocking the GPU indicating it is not stable, but he has already mentioned that isnt the case.

What score are you getting please.

I know that silly, im saying If it were possible.
You would be wasting the cards... your cpu would not be able to keep up and you would lose what the other 3 are trying to do.

up at the top where you have tabs are File, Edit, View, 3dSettings

Under 3dsettings tab.
Checkmark SLI indicators... then run your 3dmark 06

Already diddddddd. Scores, as said before, are the same with both cards in, and with one card in, no difference. I can check again tomorrow though ( I don't own this machine, I'm lending him a second reserve card of mine to SLI with his current card until I find a need for the 8800 GT, and I obviously don't live there so I can';t actively investigate some things)

Okay, you never told us you used the sli indicators anywhere in the thread.
You also didnt tell us that you could not actively try things. You dont have the system in your possession.
Also you didnt know that in SLI the cards set themselves up to run at the same core speed, you were suggesting to use rivatuner to set them to run at the same speed. So, im already assuming the worst

Have you put the SLI bridge on cards? Also is it the right way round? When you take it of and look on side with the 2 clamps [or what ever you wanna call em] theres an arrow that needs to be fitted onto top card.

That seems perfectly normal to me.I get about the same as you so ill put down Futuremarks 2oo6 & 2oo3 results with 1 card then with 2 cards tro just give you
an idea of what to expect.Also my cards are running at: 1 card 16x and other at 8x so im guessing this is my reason why myne seem low [ish] also,Compared to
others who are getting anything from 15,ooo to 19,ooo points.I do wonder what versions there running though.As if i use an ealier version my scores are huge
also.I also run all tests at the default settings of 128o x 1o24.

I know you did'nt need the other results but i included them so you can run yours and see what you get,Then you'll maybe get a better picture.

Yeah, I guess I didn't directly specify it wasn';t here, but saying it wasn't my computer, and "WOuldn't think it's the different clock speed,s when I go there tomorrow afternoon I can use Rivatuner to set them to be EXACTLY the same, no reason not to.", I figured it'd be kinda obvious it's not here. Not using Rivatuner at the moment, I'd never overclock SLI cards unless it's in my system and I have the time to work out BSODs SOrry, I know it's confusing, and I'm not trying to come off as being snappy I'll just update tomorrow after I go over there and screw around more. Maybe puting a marshmallow on the top 8800 and watching it slowly melt will make it work better

BLAKIE33: Yeah, I have it on right, but thank you for the scores I would have expected a little bit more of a jump (I know SLI doesn't mean double points or anything, I'm not dumb), but whatever THank you!

LMAO non ono, I'm just trying to ward off others thinking I'm doing things I'm not, or assuming that SLI is going to raise my score to over 50 billion thousand (hence the start of people saying I wasn't going to get an EXTREME SCORE from SLI). DOn't worry, your post was helpful in every way
