I am looking for a Nvidia GPU that iwll run Crysis at 40+ FPS on high settings at 1920 x 1200 res. i am looking for something lower the 300. Low price budget becuase i will be stepping up to the next GTXxxx series card. I have been looking into the Evga 9800GX2

gtx 280 might be the only one to get you close.
40+ fps high settings in crysis is like asking a t-rex to tie it's shoes... for under 300, i'd hay to say there is no card that could guarantee 40+ frames with high settings at that res with crysis... ![]() edit: here's a benchmark

The 9800GX2 is the best nvidia option. It's much faster then the GTX260(+) in most games. however with your motherboard being crossfire enabled I would suggest running two 4850's in crossfire. It would perform better then the GX2

I recommend GTX280 if price aint a problem but if not then the 9800GX2 should be alright till new cards come out for you to stepup to.

To be honest, this would be the perfect card (1GB version)

Just make sure that the 9800GX2 is compatible with your motherboard. Technically, it counts as an SLI card even though its only one physical unit, its still two PCBs slammed together. Similarly to a 4870x2 being crossfire. It might be only one unit, but the technology is there, and that might be enough for it to not work with your board..

If your budget limit is $300, definitely go with either a 9800GX2 or 8800GTS in SLI. Those would be your best cards under $300 imop.
__________________EDIT: Oh wait, you're board is Crossfire only... no SLI for you... Best option for you then is a 9800GX2... you may be able to shop around and find two used 3780x2's for cheap... but I don't know how they do with quad Crossfire in Crysis honestly... I think the 9800GX2 is the safer bet here
