if it smashes the 8800gt sli, id like to see it smashing it by more than 20% in real gaming app
Put them in any game and turn the AA up. You'll see what I mean.

show some proof please. if ur statement is true, id like to see it with some factual proof

anyway, heres what i got, it shows that the 4850cf setup isnt even that great. ive known so many people who regret getting 4850 cf setup because they noticed its only about a 20% increase from a single. thats not great in terms of scaling. i have to admit, a 4850 smashes the 8800gt by means of single card performance, but once you compare the CF vs SLI, the 8800gt sli is far more efficient with the 2nd card. i think the money is more worth it with an 8800gt sli set up

http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/g...50-AA,799.html

i still dont see what you mean when you said " turn on AA ". that graph clearly shows that even under AA, the 8800gt sli still shines. i dont see it " smashing it" in fact i see it crying

Notice also in that review/roundup that the 8800 Ultra in 3 way SLI beats the GTX280 in 3 way SLI?

How's that?

It's an nvidia optimized game...how is that not a smashing? When you can get 30+ FPS with an 8800GT SLI set up 1920x1200 with 2xAA on come back to me.

here u go.

http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/g...v1-21,755.html

haha...........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

o wait. i didnt even see it its .. 4!!!!! AA .....haha.. wow.

watchu got? lol

i dont think paying rougly 320$ for 4850cf setup is worth it. dont get me wrong, if i wanted a single ccard solution, the 4850 is fukn good; however, CF wont cut it for me

320$ = 4850 CF
220$ = 8800gt sli.

. i prefer the cheaper, yet more decent set up

And I'll say it again. In TH tests, the 8800 Ultra is apparently better than the GTX280.

i think that graph just shows that the 280 does not shine in tri sli.

tri sli is rarely used and is definitely not improved in scaling . the extra gains from the 3rd card is almost nothing.

Here, Look At ALL Games @ All Resolutions Not just 1 game at 1 resolution...

The 4850 is on par with the 8800, it doesnt "crush" it or get beat by it, they are about equal.....

they are about the same... Go through the list and find games you play and want the improvement it...

Okay, I don't know what planet you come from so I'll say it once again. THW is the only reviewer that has found those results. Every other place confirms the fact that the 4850 is far better than the 8800GT. Consdier this: it beats the 9800GTX comfortably.
