also to have everything at max u need sli to play 50+ fps

I have a single GB of ram @ DDR2-675, with 2 7800GTX's (a single 1 ran it almost the same)

With my single 7800, 1GB DDR2-675, and P4 640 @ 4.0GHz, I ran it @ 1280x960(no goddam 4:3 ratio of 1280x1024), all @ absolute max detail. unless BF2 limits ur options due to ur hardware. But with all this, I got 50+fps, and now with my 2nd 7800, I get even more, usually faster than my monitors refresh rate...

m8, u seriously have nothing to worry about

That's a big mistake lots of people make, (including me a while back) is buying the best video card on the market thinking they can run BF2 highest settings, but the video card is bottlenecked by your cpu and possibly amount of ram.

still, you will do fine.

You can have any resolution you want in BF2, you just have to edit a certain text file. They didn't put 1280x1024 on by default, but you can use it.

Thats bs man. I play on high and once the virtual memory gets sorted out I get 70-100 fps. 1280X960 4XAA 4XAF

Im runnin Battlefield 2 fine on my system, with 1GB of ram, on all high settings except no AA. And it looks and runs very good on 1024x768.

You dont want it because all it does strech it out and mess up the aspect ratio. I tried it myself. Just ignore the little black bars at the top and bottom and you're all good.
