His cpu will bottleneck his system, a 8800gt if sufficient. Especially with a 19 incher.

8800GT are 2.0 but they will still work on 1.0 motherboards.

better to have more GPU power then you need, jeeze
Judging by this guys old GPU... he does not upgrade every week!
And I'm sure in two years he'll like to be able to run new games, lol

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150316
that's the same thing only $101 after rebate

People still love the 8800GTS $159 with a $30 rebate making it around $130
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130409

4850 $159.99, $139.99 after $20.00 rebate
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102770

And the 9800GTX $159 no rebates

so the 4850 wins out in that case

it will bottleneck yes, but you'd only notice once you move to a newer CPU

Get 8800 GTS 512mb/9800 GTX or 4850 whichever is cheaper, performance difference is neglible and all these perform great so in this case price wins. (also look at more sources than just newegg if you can)

Don't bother with a $160 9800 GT card.......

Where do you see a $160 9800gt, you must be looking somewhere im not. The gtx you recommend is 160 there captain.

8800gts is crap, why get it for more money than a 9800gt when its the same thing.
