Default Need New Video Card

I was thinking about getting a new video card because my 9600GT is having video output problems and is making my system unstable. My Price range is 0-180USD

Here are some cards that I have found...
1.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102775
ATi 4850. If I get one, I want to make sure that it has a reference board design so I can do a pencil mod.

2.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131125
Another 4850. I'm not sure if it uses reference design, but it comes with a aftermarket cooler.

3.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130416
9800GTX+ These card overclock like crazy, but are mostly beaten by the 4850.

3. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121284
Another 9800GTX+ Same price as the card above but with nice aftermarket cooling.

I'm currently leaning towards a 4850 because they are about 30 dollars cheaper, and there is a known pencil mod to push the core all the way up to 800Mhz.

whats an SLi mb cost like $120? and a 9600GT $80? thats $200
look in the for sale section for a 4870, there are plenty of them epically VisionTek brand.
Most have been between $200-$210, and thats what i would get. Also you don't have to have the hassles of SLi problems

Thanks for the help guys. I have ruled out SLi because of micro-stuttering and my current 9600GT is having output problems. I would absolutely love to get a 4870, but they are out of my price budget.

I'm using this 4850: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121272

I've read a lot about how 4850s run hot as crap but the Glaciator fan that comes with it lets it run cool as crap. Even with the stock 9% overclock, the card idles at around 40 and at full load it's around 60 C and there isn't any price premium compared to other cards after the rebate. I have it running 700/2200 at the moment and it's still running very cool. I could push it more but the card already runs everything I play flawlessly at 80+ fps.

Is that 180 after tax? Does a rebate count?

You can get an XFX 9800GTX+ with Far Cry 2 for 190, plus a 30 dollar rebate
