Your computer shouldn't be crashing period. Looks like you have a stock CPU cooler that's not doing its job, or you don't have proper air flow in your case and you cant exchange heat efficiently. Whats your case made out of? Case's made with plastic retain more heat.

Would also do the norm if you haven't already. Update your Bios, Chipset and all your drivers. (tip) Do them one at a time after a system reboot, if/when the crashing stops you'll know what fixed it.

I have noticed slight improvements with the 180 driver over all the drivers I tried. I'm going to try getting that 178 driver to work, but with the errors I'm getting I don't know if its possible.

Do you have 3dmark 06? I would like to know your score. Can you do a crysis benchmark also? If you can OC your CPU to 3ghz and run a 3dmark06 so i can see what score your getting.

If you don't get the normal score in the benchmark results, that could tell us that the card is faulty or something. Another thing that you should check is the settings on nvidia control panel is AA. I had accidentally turned on 2xAA and my games were running at half fps. Switched it off, and my games were running smooth again.
