Default Anything that will beat a gtx 260 for a cheaper price?

I'm looking at a single gtx 260 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130370

Is there any card/cards that will beat this thing for less cost? Sli / crossfire is an option

Flow goes like so:
4870 1GB > gtx 260 216ver > 4870 512MB > gtx260

that said, go for the 4870 512MB if you want a better card...

On your sig rig, you'll need a new power supply, and it would... Hell, most newer graphics card will be bottlenecked by that older x2.

I know a 4870 or GTX 260 won't fit in that HP case, if that's the intended computer.

It's for a totally new computer. LOL the power supply would blow the second I hooked up and graphics card.

Unfortunately the next price step down from a GTX 260 192sp is a 9800GTX+ or HD4850.

Never in a million years will an 8800gts beat a gtx260. Read the OP

you could get a 9800gx2 that will way outperform the 260 for about the same price. 8800gt's in SLI would also work. I would highly sugguest getting the 260 core 216 though. Its a great card.

Ummmm I think not. Both the 9800gtx+ and 4850 outperform the 8800gts. The 9800gtx+ is a much faster, smaller, cooler core.
