Alright, so I'm selling my 3870X2 since I now have 2 8800GT cards installed. ONE ISSUE..I need the monitors on the 2nd card to work. I'm not running SLI, but I have a tri-monitor setup, and on the second video card, monitors will not pick up a signal on either DVI port. Windows sees them, but I can only configure one at a time (eg. I can change the resolution of only one DVI port at a time m,the other is locked..). I've tried in both Ultramon and Windows, nothing works. Please please help, I need the third monitor for graphics work (it's a Wacom Cintiq tablet). And I have tried using one of my normal monitors on it, they don't work either, and the tablet works on my first video card. I just BARELY installed these cards, and I know they both work..I just need to figure out what setting in the hidden control panel under the start menu I need to access to fix it. Please and thank you!
Also; the 8800 GT cards aren't the same make, one is EVGA, the other is XFX, but that shouldn't matter.

As I have a Dual-Monitor set up, I only connect my 2 to 1 card, But i did some re-search.

Check to see that you have uninstalled all ATI display drivers. and run driver cleaner pro and clean out the ati drivers reboot. reinstall the nvidia drivers.
if you have done that and have had no success. take out one card and test that both dvi ports work with all three monitors then do the same for the other card. If no success then repeat step one but do the same for both ati and nivdia drivers. and then reinstall the latest nvidia driver.

The 180.48 drivers allow multi monitor on SLI and other OCN members have gotten it to work although I can't vouch for them becuase I don't have SLI myself.

Hmm. Maybe try a dummy plug in one of the ports and see if you can change anything? Maybe your monitor cord is going bad?
