Since that 9600GT is $105 and it has $9 shipping. I'd say, throw in the extra $1 and buy this 9800GT for $115 with free shipping and the $20 mir: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130397

Free shipping FTW

Ive got Evga 9600gso 768mb Theyre GDDR3 and overclock like a mother. Click my GPUZ link in my sig. Im able to get a 32% OC on them easy. Thats in SLI, single card I can get it higher. When I ran the crysis benchmark everything on high @ 1680 x 1050 I averaged 25.21 FPS, thats better than a 9600gt. Supposedly the 9600GT's do scale better for SLI though. I have no experience with em so I dont know. I scored 10500 in 3dmark06 with these. Not great but not bad either, Im going to step them up probably next month to GTX260/216's though, but Im building 2 more rigs and Ill need a single card solution to both of the nvidia rigs, the other is going to be crossfire.

At any rate, dollar for dollar the GSO is better, OC's better and with the stock heat sink that came on my card, with fan speed @ 60% they never go over 59/60*C.

Heres a screen shot of my crysis benchmark .

Thats another reason Im going with a single card solution. Once I lap it and can get my temps down Ill be able to get it to 3100+ I cant really add any more voltage to it at the moment without my temps going through the roof. And thats an old screenshot @ 2.81, Im @ 3.0 now. And yeah in sli it does bottleneck some, but there isnt a game that I've come across that I cant run at the absolute max setting on everything. Even with the driver I am running, which kills FPS, I easily get 100+fps in most every game including TF2 16xAA and AF, 150+ in CSS, 80-100 in assassins creed, 50+ in Oblivion. Like I said that is everything on max. Even crysis I do fairly well, and in SLI I average about 40fps. So all in all not too shabby for a total of $135.00 for 2 cards

I have two cards I want to decide between and also a question or two.
Right now I am trying to decide between the following:

EVGA 512-P3-N860-TR GeForce 9600 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130360

or the...

XFX PVT96OSDFH GeForce 9600 GSO 768MB 192-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150320

Which do you think I should get to play current games as best I can until I can afford to spend money on the GTX 260?

I intend to play games like Halo PC, Halo C.E., Red Faction, WoW, TimeShift, Crysis Warhead, The Orange Box, Project Snowblind, Left 4 Dead, Diablo II, and Diablo III once that baby comes out and Crysis eventually, and more.

How many watts does each card actually require?
Also which would be better to overclock for the price?

I was thinking maybe the 9600 GSO because it has 92 stream processors while the GT has 64 and I could just overclock the card more than the GT for the cheaper price.

Please give your thoughts and opinions on which card is better/i should get?
9600gt out of those,or if you can get a MIR a 85$ 4830 that will simply blow both of those cards away.

Ummm the 4830 doesnt beat mine. And the GSO you popped up there is GDDR2, mine are 3. I run the ticker on futuremark when I test just to see how well it does, and I ALWAYS beat 4830 machines.

And Im trying not to swear so i didnt finish that
