Exclamation Windows 7 Doesn't like GTX295

So I got the windows beta when it came out and I'm farly happy with it. Windows 7 is faster, uses less memory... I could go on forever.

When I first installed Windows7 I had a GTX260 and had no problems what so ever. I recently got my GTX295 and I started getting bluescreens and very slow computing..

I had no personal data on that machine yet, so I did a full wipe and restore. The machine installed Windows7 with no problems, but as soon as I installed video drivers and restarted the machine would not boot once without BSOD.

Stick with Vista until nvidia releases a fix if you're getting a GTX 295

Rymn

I'll answer any Q's I can

Put the 260 back in.
Uninstall the drivers.
Take the 260 out.
Install the 295.
Reinstall the drivers.

It's probably because they're making the drivers available via Windows Update, and those drivers aren't 295 ready. I know 7 is essentially Vista, but it has some differences

Windows7 is a ton better than Vista, but it does suck that it doesn't work with the 295.

OP, did you just run the Windows 7 drivers, or did you run the latest official NVIDIA drivers in Vista compatibility mode?
