haha yeah, the mobo is crap. its a terrible board compared to current standards, but its doing me ok for the time being. one thing i dislike is the color.

idle: 31C. Load: 49c (after 5 min ATITool artifacts scan) not too much of a difference, definately not what i'd expected. but in saying that, its a very cool card anyway compared to other 9800GTX+'s, either way im impressed by it. one thing though, with full fan speed the noise picks up quite a bit, whereas at 35% its virtually silent and drowned out by the CPU fan

very nice card indeed, but i dont get the name. you'd think theyd give it black pcb or an all black cooler or something. at least that way it wouldnt make "the dark night" just seem like a selling point.
either way, those are some pretty good temps, i know mine with the stock fan is quite a bit higher. my loads are like 68-70c.

i believe the term dark knight is just the name of their cooler itself, it also appears on a HD4870: http://xtreview.com/addcomment-id-66...ht-series.html
pretty silent, i cant hear it over my stock intel cooler at 80%, i currently have all my case fans turned down

haha really? nice.
imho, the heatpipes are what really set it apart from the pack. heat distrubution is tops, for sure. hopefully this thread helps anyone who is looking at getting one of these cards
