Well I've gotten to the point where my card artifacts the second I try to run a crysis or FC2 benchmark. The temps are all fine, 70% fan speed and it hits like 52c before artifacting (when I first got it it would get to around 65 at 60% fan speed in crysis and was fine. The card seemed to deteriorate or something). I have a few questions to make sure its the GPU. I've been a bit unlucky with bad cards it seems as my 8800 died and this one didnt last very long either. It idled at 42c which seemed perfect for this card so I dont think heat was the cause.
__________________1) Can a PSU cause artifacting like this? My computer never shutdown or restarted randomly, just have artifacting constantly when trying to game with the nvidia error thingy popping up and forcing me to restart. (says the driver or hardware is FUBAR etc) 2) Isn't it pretty hard to kill a GPU if temps seem fine? I haven't been messing around OCing it because I wanted to make sure it was running stable and haven't touched it besides installing it. 3) How common is it to get a GPU that's damaged or DOA? 4) Anything else I should try to fix this? I've done MULTIPLE re installs of drivers and have used driver sweeper in safe mode and all the usual steps. I'm starting to think I'm just unlucky and need to RMA it. Thanks!

I had a 260 sc that did the same thing in Crysis, Crysis warhead and FC2.
I cleaned out the drivers and did an install of the latest for then divers and it still did it. I ended up turning off AA and that cleared up the artifacts. I learned by checking the forums at Evga that the 260 was prone to this kind of stuff, other than that it was a good card I just wanted to step up to the 285 (edit) One more thing, check your PSU and find out what the amp rating is for the 12 volt rail

Gosh, 260 RMA is tough. My only advice if you had OCed your card, maybe underclock it and then set it back to normal and see if it runs fine.

Do you think I should just RMA this card or maybe look into a PSU that is a bit beefier?
