Default Should I get the BGF GTX260 core 216?

What do you guys think should I pull the trigger on this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...gtCjCVRqCjCVRq

or should I wait a little longer for the prices to drop since the GTX275 comes out next week?

It depends on the price you can spend, but it looks like the GTX275 is the way to go.

thanks but I am dead set on buying the GTX260, I'll be using it in my dads rig for a few months before stepping up to GTX295 or whatever is out by that time. Do you think the prices will dip since the 275 is being released?

I will probably will be steady around 200 for the GTX 260. When the GTX 3 series are out. 260's will most likely drop 10-30 bucks. maybe..

Oops. I thought you were choosing between the two cards. I cannot remember seeing a recent price drop article, but if you want your card now you could always get a good deal on an open box deal at the egg or even in our forums. If you want the step up option though it will cost a bit more.

that's a good deal for that card and if it were me I'd get it now but I refuse to wait and then curse myself later for not waiting on a better deal

no worries but thanks anyways. I think I'll wait a couple weeks and if no prices drop I'll just get that BFG card, It's $181 shipped and it has $20 rebate so $161 if i am lucky enough to receive the rebate.

I've got a BFG GTX 260 MAXCORE OCX edition in my primary folding rig. I think you'll really enjoy the performance of that card and it overclocks nicely.

Thats a great deal considering it comes with a nice lifetime warranty. I have completed roughly 10 MIR within the last 6 months, one was a $40 rebate from BFG and it came back perfectly. Every single one of them has come back just fine, just make sure you fill it out properly and include everything they request.

People making up horror stories about never receiving multiple rebates are normally because they failed to fill it out properly or are just blatantly lying and were to lazy to send it out in the first place.

I have 550W corsair psu do you think overclocking will push it too far to the point where my psu can't handle it? and i've never overclocked a gpu before is it done through the bios like a cpu overclock?
