Alright guys, I have a question.

There's 2 LEDs on the back of the GTX 295, a green and a blue, correct? The green one is always on, but I'm wondering about the blue one. I could swear there was a blue light that would come on when the card was powered up, but now there's no more blue light. Card seems to work OK though...

This is what I found after some googling

"The blue indicator tells you which video card is in the primary header to plug your monitor(s) into."

Sometimes I get no blue light too, and then after a reboot it works fine.

Try switching the DVI ports , and reboot.

How'z about a link to your ORB showing you at 34K, Mr. Own?

That'd go along way towards alleviating my personal skepticism

Then again, I'd guess you don't actually have an ORB link to share, because there are NO scores on the '06 leaderboard that are even NEAR 34K that were either a)done in the past week, OR b)achieved by running anything but XFire 4870X2's.

Got my backplate installed! I hate those small screws... Had to go to CVS and get a eyeglass repair kit

here is the backplate on my BFG

TEST:
65% with out Backplate I got around 54c 52c IDLE (NO PIC)
65% with BACKPLATE I get 48c and 46c IDLE

70% with out Backplate I got around 92c and 90c LOAD Crysis Warhead MAX, no AA NO PIC
70% with Backplate I got around 73c and 72c LOAD Crysis Warhead MAX, NO AA

THAT IS A HUGE DROP for the Price of $20. I am very impressed! I suggest all 295 owners get a back plate ASAP!

i'm a bit confused here. With my GTX 295 @ stock I get around 19200 in 3dmark06. Now with my 295 at 700/1450/1250 I get 19100?

Your card doesn't like the OC, even if its stable. Take it back down

mclovin, I would try 666/1456/1202. I think nearly all of them should be stable at these speeds ... i've put mine at 702 before as well, it ran, but my 3dmark score went down vs. 675.
