hey guys, i just downloaded the crysis bench and ran it at 1650 X 1280, full aa , and highest graphics settings..and i got an avg. fps around 41...(thats with quad sli 295's )...then i upgraded to the new 182 series drivers...and my average is now in the 20's!!! something is not right...i dont know what it is..i ran vantage and i still am getting the same scores so , is there something with crysis that maybe doesn't take advantage of sli or quad sli? i can't seem to figure out what the problem is...Now, when i run crysis warhead at full graphics settings it flys...the only problem is when running the crysis benchmark..any ideas?

IF the game runs smoothly when playing like normal, Don't worry about it then. Probably just the benchmark being dumb. OR try these, http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvist...5.68_beta.html

22% performance increase in Crysis Warhead. I just downloaded them to do some test.

How were your results?

Also after downloading the drivers is everyone then installing the SLI patch? or no?

Default GTX 295 vs GTX 260 SLi!

Here are my results, (Shaders were not on 1515, due to I forgot to bump them!)

Driver: 185.68 BETA Drivers..

Download here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvist...5.68_beta.html

My OC: 667/1438/1188 , Fanspeed: 70% Never hit above 78c

Pictures:
This is the 295 with the above OC and Drivers.

Another Pic of the 295 with above OC and Drivers.

Now, these are my 260's in SLi with the same CPU at the same clock speed.

Now, I beat my 260s (Proven!!!) I can OC my 295 even more and get a higher score than what it shows now, so there, I KilrBe3 proved that yes, the 295 does beat GTX 260's in SLi @ FTW Speeds.

edit; these new 185.86 drivers are great btw, I don't know.. But my temps dropped all across the board when doing Vantage, at the same fan speed at the same ambient temp in my case.

I think I may have something here. Been playing with my 295 today. Took the sandwich apart and reapplied all the thermal compound with OCZ Freeze. Did the whole cleaning..blah...blah...blah.
Well then I also got ym voltages way down, possibly stable not too sure yet seem ok. Now sitting at 1063mv with a 730/1500/1150 OC. Temps are 60C on GPU1 and 64-65 on GPU2. BTW this is while folding a 768 pointer. If you fold you know how those heat up cards. Will post Screens in a few min.

Here is my new test,

667/1530/1200

Not a big PLUS, but a small increase, broke 20k

Still debating what makes this card happy... A High Core clock, or a High Shader or Memory... Anyone know?

Shader is most important, followed by core, then memory would be least important.

Here are those screens I promised.

Edit: I am finding this card loves shaders. The massive OC you can get on the shaders is just short of amazing. I can benchmark this card at 1700+ shaders. Actually I used to fold on 1700 shaders for 2 days. 9k PPD off each GPU was sweet but the heat was just killer. Lucky for me it was dead of winter and I opened a window and solved that. Now with my new temps and volts I may look at the 170 mark again and see if I can bring back the numbers.
