I've had 2 8800gts oc and sli set up, (atm folding), you will not see much increase in performance on a 1900x1200 screen.

you can play crysis at moderate levels.

I scored around 17,500 in 3DMO6 with my SLI 8800GTS 640's.
However when I upgraded to a 1920 x 1200 monitor, I noticed quite a hit in games. Crysis was playable but only a medium levels, I had to knock it back to 1440x900 to play at high graphic settings.

for $50 it's worth it though.

Not worth it! The old G80 architecture scales pretty badly in SLI, think 50%.

Sell your 640 for $50 and get a 4830 (you can grab one for $87 with free shipping and a free game (a great game too))

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161260

The performance will be almost identical *at 1920x1200*, the card will be newer and draw less power, you get DX10.1, and AA performance blows the G80 architecture away. 8800gts 640s in SLI perform between a 4830 and a 4850 *at 1920x1200* (at 1280x1024 or whatever, the SLI setup wins).

Even if you can only get $30 for your card, it would STILL be a better deal to go with a 4830, and you can crossfire the 4830 later too, and the 4830 scales much better in multi card configs.

You might as well get another card (260 216) and use the old gts as physx
