Is it possible you swapped the cables end for end?

Nope it's impossible to do that actually. They make one cable shorter than the other.

I changed a bit of the info on the original post. Can anyone else help me isolate where the problem lies?

WOW!!! I dunno *** happened but I just went back to 174.74 beta drivers. Cause I saw someone with them have very good FPS and now everything works amazing. Crysis went up so much more FPS now. Microstutter is of course worse but not too bad. I can't believe it was a driver problem this whole time. And apparently 180's and above sucks with 9800GX2. Just to let you all know.

CORRECTION: I would like to confirm that 182.06 works fine for me as well. Haven't tested 182.08 but 182.50 is confirmed to be a failure. DO NOT DOWNLOAD 182.50 for the 9800GX2.
