You're going to be disappointed if you have the Q6600 at stock speeds. You won't really gain that much in the way of FPS in a lot of games. With an i7 on the other hand, you'll see very nice gains.

Remember this thread is about Crysis jokes, and he said "Crysis"....thus, he must mean that Crysis itself is a joke.

At 1680x1050, the difference between a Q6600 stock and an i7 920 stock will be noticeable. The Q6600 will bottleneck the card at stock speeds, the i7 920 will get rid of that.

Hell there's a large difference from 2.4GHz and 3.8GHz for me.

Read the whole thread so you can avoid making assumptions like that.

but guys will i see good improvement in fps?

like except for crysis will i be able to max all games at 4aa and 16af at 1680x1050

at a minimum fps of 60fps(meaning the fps does not fall below 60 at any time)

not always!!! i doubt that for most other games excluding crysis also min fps of 60 is kinda intense - unless your talking like Half Life 1 or something...but you can expect maybe avg: fps of 60+ and a min fps: of above 30 which should be good enough

?

for xp and i wnana know is do i have to uninstall this driver or just switch out the gtx 260 and and insert the gtx 295 and play
Uninstall old drivers, clean them, Install new drivers.

also which driver is the best for gtx 295 and also tell me how to install the driver please(i dont wanna mess up)
185.68.. You download them, and press the .exe?

also any other general thing u wanna advice me on before i buy?
Buy the eVGA backplate (see my sig)

also what fan speed to keep and also should i OC it?
Keep around 50% when idle, 70% when gaming, Yes OC. 295 likes a nice OC

i mean is there a need to OC it?
Yes, you get a nice gain in FPS and scores.
Here you go.. Bold is my answers. Make sure you OC your CPU to at least 3.2Ghz - 3.4Ghz to reduce a bottleneck.

Yeah, I'm at 3.6 and there's a huge diffrence for me. Doing that also got me from 14k FM06 to 16.4k FM06.

Yes, We've already answerd this. The card will drop under 60, i've seen 3 4890's struggle with 30 with maxed settings.

The 260 is a good card, and to be quite honest im not sure why you went for the 295. I would have waited it out a bit.
