Paras, (and anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) you would have gotten beter performance by simply picking up another 260 and throwing them in SLI. 2 260's run faster/better performance than a single GTX 295.

Woulda saved you a decent chunk of money too.

Actually according to alot of benchmarks I have seen SLI 260 (Core 216's) are faster than 1 GTX 295, at least from what I have seen.

Yeah, I too have heard that the GTX 260 in SLI is better than a 295. Not by much, but better is better, even if it's by a small amount.

Yea, obviously the 295 is a great card too, so don't think I"m trying to put it down or anything, but I'm just saying being the guy already had a 260, this move seems like a lateral one instead of a progressive one for him.

Right, it's a side grade, not an upgrade.

295 has more microstutter problems as well.

SLI works the same in India as it does in the United States, or anywhere else for that matter.

The card should last for 3 years, but probably won't max out games 3 years from now with playable FPS. Also, still have to take into consideration the microstutter, and the fact that a 295 is pretty much SLI on a single card.

That's almost siggable lol.

Microstutter is something that happens to some degree in all multi GPU setups. The FPS counter might say 60 or 100 FPS, but the game still feels choppy because the frames aren't being rendered evenly.
