But in Crysis I get fine FPS. How can Warhead be more than twice worse?? (When it clearly isn't the case with other cards)

Yeah thats about right since a 260 is quite a bit better than the 8800gt.

Thanks I'd really appreciate it. Even with a quad you shouldn't be doing more than 5 FPS better than me tops so it's interesting.

I have heard quite abit about FPS problems with the GX2, thats one reason I didnt get one when I got my 260. I dont know what to say tho about fixing it, all your rig stuff seems pretty much up to par and dont seem like it should be holding u back.

For anyone interested, i found the settings that work best for GTX260 to use 4xAA. Set everything to Enthusiast except: Post processing to gamer, Water quality to gamer, Shadows to gamer. Set Anti Alias to 4X with the 185.81 drivers. I was in the 25-45fps range thru the level I just played, saw low 20 fps only in explosions. I dont notice any difference in quality when setting Shadows and Water to gamer compared to Enthusiast, I dont have time to stop and stare at shadows and water lol. Post processing seems like it just makes colors a lil darker, maybe more realistic, but u gain some FPS by setting to Gamer.

Try settings those settings to Gamer OP and see what you get.

Well, seeing as how I tried everything possible and I haven't found a single person that that honestly get good results in Crysis Warhead (DX10, all Enthusiast). I've come to the conclusion that I am not doing anything wrong and my system is fine.

Apparently, Crysis Warhead (being apparently differently coded than Crysis) is an epic failure with DX10 for the 9800GX2 (only hope is future patches and driver updates). So I guess I'm gonna have to stick with DX9 for Crysis Warhead .

If anyone can prove me wrong please do I REALLY REALLY would like to figure this out.

I onyl use DX9, cause u get a few more FPS< only reason, and I cannot for the life of me distinguish graphical differences between DX9 and DX10, i dont care, im used to it now. Ive seen many pics comparing DX9 and DX10, and IMO for anyone to notice a difference would mean they are super anal about graphics, i just wanna play the damn game lol

Oh but I use DX10 for Crysis, for some reason with Win 7 I get no more mouse lag in DX10 Crysis and I get better FPS< i run the natural mod 2.02 and 2x AA with DX10 in Crysis. Looks beautiful, check that mod out.
