nVidia representative: PhysX, as seen in next-gen games like Batman:Arkham Asylum, PhysX makes your g200 based card BETTER than the 58XX series in all aspects. You'd be an idiot to buy ATI when you'd be forfeiting physX

When all is said and done, I'll end up paying $130 for my 4890.

the gtx 275's are better than the gtx 280, atleast in benchmarks, but just ever so slightly.

but for $200 the best nvidia card you could get is a gtx 280.

the gtx 280 and the hd4890 (each non OCed) are almost on par.

Whether or not a 275 is a 'better' card or not is definitely debatable, due to various differences betwixt them, but if clocked to the same speeds, a GTX280 is a faster card than a 275.

In fact, barring some kind of a defect, it would be physically impossible for a gtx275 to beat a GTX280 at the same clocks.
