The only EVGA product I have owned was my 680i mobo I bought used. Its been solid, but GPU wise its all XFX or more recently BFG.

I have used several EVGA GTX 260s in friend/family gaming builds.

i've definitely had issues with evga before. My first 750i ftw that i had arrived with one bent mobo pin, but i wont knock it because it allowed me to run my old e8400 @ 500 fsb, so no hate for that. Evga helped me out with it, but once they said i had to pay $50 for them to fix it, i was like what the? its your fault, luckily i rma'd it with newegg, so i paid just shipping. I recently bought a 780i mobo from a bud, and that came doa, and evga kinda helped me out, but nothing more than i already knew. So, they don't have the once praised best customer service, but they sure are a lot better than trying to talk to some middle-eastern guy trying to tell you what to do, that is much worse.

I have to agree. my evga 680i was amazing but my xfx 680i sucked. i still will not buy from them mainly from customer support.

I wouldn't boycott EVGA for a few reasons:
  1. I have never purchased something from them, so I can't rightfully boycott a company I personally have no experience with.
  2. Each 'bad' situation is unique. IMO, if you are not the one having the problem, then in all honesty, you don't have all of the info. I'm not saying the people having problems are lying, but I think you understand what I'm saying.
  3. Boycotting a company due to a few (and I'm sure they are few in comparison to the THOUSANDS of satisfied customers they have), bad experiences doesn't seem logical to me.
  4. You never know when they may be your 'best' or 'only' option. Case in point: I boycotted Radio Shack years ago because I received one of their IllumaStorms* for a Christmas gift. As I was screwing in the bulb, I must have overtightened it, breaking the connection. Now in my mind, I only used normal tightening power, and the metal used was weak. They wanted to charge almost as much as it was worth just to look at it, and even if they repaired it, I would be charged for that as well. So, I took it home, rigged it myself to work fine, and never went into another Radio Shack again. However, at some point I needed something. I can't remember what it was, but I do remember Radio Shack being my savior that day, after arguing with myself for hours about why I shouldn't go there. So, you never know.

*: For those of you who don't know what an IllumaStorm is, it's a glass bulb filled with some sort of gas that when it's plugged in, emits this cool electricity-like effect. If you placed your hands on it, the 'electricity' would stick with you where ever your fingers roamed on the globe. It was pretty cool!

This is just personal.
I know that EVGA does more good than bad.
But I don't give a rats buttock about how well other people were treated.

I think it's amazing that people say they won't boycott due to successful multiple RMA experiences. I have RMA'd exactly 0 parts in my life, and been building systems for over 10 years. It's great you had success with RMAs (really I mean that), and 1 part is totally understandable... but on my 2nd issue I'm off to another company. The closest I've come is 2 Seagate drives that died after the RMA window, and I've bought 0 Seagates since. That's only understandable if you've bought hundreds of parts, so the percentages will balance out to having multiple issues.

What if you accidentally poured water on the card while it was running and so they had no obligation to replace it especially since there was no more warranty on it but they did anyway? Next time I accidentally pour water on it I should go XFX?
