My 9600 is geting over 81c in grid with 100% fan on stock clocks.

yeah buy some decent thermal paste to put on it and replace it all

New thermal and still 80c in grid and just in grid im running between 45c and 55c in arma same in nfs prostreet

Wow my old 9800gt used to get about 40 degrees above ambient when I was playing GTA IV but that was with the fan at 60%. How long have you had the card and how long has it been going over 80.

You could always try and fit an uprated cooler? But I guess that depends on whether you actually want to throw money at the card.
You could point a desk fan or something at it? I can see you've gone the caseless route and that would sure as hell give it a bit of airflow.

Mabye get a 80mm fan and put it on the side panel sucking air in hitting the card. Cheap fix. I would not bother getting a better cooler for a card like that.
If there is a vent there but nowhere to screw it to, just superglue.

Sounds faulty though. Mabye you could get it replaced?
