Not according to this! But then you will probably find one that supports your arguement. Im not talking the the 275 with almost 2gb of memory.

Never heard of them.

The 275 OCs faster than the 280...

OC comes down to individual cards. Not all cards OC the same. This is a which came first, the chicken or the egg type thing. In the end both are really more than any game can handle. Except may two or three.
Choose the one that looks the coolest. lol

Compare the cards in this review (pure specs wise!!!), the GTX275 is clocked higher than the GTX280, but the GTX280 makes up for that with the 512bit interface vs the 448bit interface of the GTX275. Overall the GTX275 will be faster than the GTX280 because the 55nm transistors will be more efficient than the 65nm transistors clock for clock.

I also think you'll find the GTX275 cheaper on the net than the 280, so go for the GTX275 .

This is true, about the only games that give my single 275 any problem are Crysis, Cryostasis, and GTA IV.

And by problem I mean they only run at 30fps.

Performance for each card can depend on Monitor size also.

Actually, Yes. I benched my 275 OC highly to FTW speeds, and a little over. And beat a mild OC 285. IF you just go off what websites tell you, then i don't know what to tell you, Have to much money? Just because it looks better, it always aint.
