There, And you been here long enough to understand how these threads work as well. Your 295 is nothing more than 275's strapped, OC SLi 275 can beat that 295 (stock that is) @Zig-Zag.. I wouldn't suggest that

The 275 is more likely to choke your system before the 280 does simply because it has less VRAM. The framerates we're comparing now are the difference between playable and playable. However, those extra 200 MB could very well be the difference between playable with very high AA / resolution that the 275 cannot pull through. If you're comparing them both on the same resolution / with same specs, the differences will be between playable and playable, which makes this argument ridiculous.
Pick up the 280 if you want a card that will last longer, 275 if you want a card that probably performs better for now.

the 280. the 448-bit bus is too small to fully utilize the SPs on the 275 while the 512 bit bus is just right on the 280

That's an even more ridiculous debate. If you're simply looking for the best who cares if it's old or new? I'd rather have a 3870 x2 than a 4830 even though the latter is newer...

How is this ridiculous? 55nm runs cooler, and has the potential to OC higher than its older brother 65nm. Never said "BUY THE BEST, CUZ ITS THE BEST" I had a 295, hated it, best is never better.

http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/153...d/index17.html Common misconception. Power is a function of voltage and current. Lower die size has nothing to do with decreasing the amount of power consumption.
