Default Whats better 275 or 280

I cant decide which to get... I saw a couple things online showing them basically the same. the 275 is 20$ cheaper... at $200 instead of $220.

Which one is better, or are they basically the same?

They're pretty similar in performance. If you look at the specs then the 280 should be better though.

275 may be capable of better shader performance (it's SPs will OC higher), but the 280 has more ROPs and TMUs, as well as greater memory bandwidth.

Overall the 280 is a marginally better card.

yea but u have to remember that 275 is a 55NM and 280 is a 65NM card, so it should use less electicity and lower temps as well

its like 6600GT vs 6800, where the 6800 was slightly faster but the 6600GT was slightly cheaper and ran cooler, take what suites your needs both will do

Here is the overall performance between them. This is the performance per dollar and general OC.

I've seen some benchmarks the 275 GTX outperforms the 280 GTX. I'll choose the 275 GTX because it uses less power than the 280 GTX.

A real gamer doesnt buy a video card cause it uses less power, we buy the one that give us most POWER!! I would go with the 280.
