New to Overclock.net
|
EVGA standard or EVGA FTW?
I am looking at either the EVGA 2-gig standard or the 2-gig FTW card but can't decide if the FTW is worth the extra $$$. For now I will only be getting one with SLI sometime in the future. Any thoughts?

I'd get the standard and overclock it. You'll save a few bucks and get stil get great performance.

Like scott said get the standard and OC the hell out of it to save you some cash.

Okay, paying extra money for the FTW sticker on the box and the increased clock speeds is not worth it, buy the regular one, overclock it like mad

They are the exact same card; the FTW just has a different bios with higher speeds.
Go for the Vanilla and OC it. Beyone that it's a crapshoot to see which will OC higher. Some Vanilla go through the rough while some FTW won't OC much at all and vice versa because each card is slightly different.

well i got vanilla, cuz i love vanilla, and i overclocked it to FTW frequencies, and she still refuses to melt.

Get the W T F edition, it's even better. Comes w/ spare envelope so you can RMA it only for them to say it's your fault and never get your package back.
