He said even a 4670 is pricey for him. So what is the logic in buying a PSU or go for a $100 9800GT.

It's ok, the truth hurts, the 9800GT will indeed rape a 4670. I would say its the best for a single slot, low power pulling card.

If the OP can't spend $100 on a graphic card, why even have the phrase "best Graphics Card" in the thread title.....

He said it doesn't need to connect to a PSU so there for the max power it is drawing is 75 watts. You may have known this if you clicked on the link.

I said the OP mentioned a cheap card. Read the last two post in the first page of this thread and before replying pls do go through the previous posts to get an idea about what ppl are talking about.

your smoking something arnt you.

The 9500GT falls between 8600GT and 8600GTS in preformance. The 8600GT is comparable to a 7900GS while the 8600GTS would better compare to a 7950GT or x1950xt. The 9500GT @ stock compares closer to a x1950pro or 7900GT

Seriously, even if you can run a graphics card without the comp constantly crashing, the psu will be on or over max capacity. When psu's are running over max output(there is max capacity, which is the 300watt rating. and there is the ABSOLUTE max before it crashes, which is a little more than the 300w capacity, maybe 350w or 400w), it causes capacitor ageing. In other words, When your running a psu at its max all the time, it will actually lose its max output over time. So when you buy your psu its 300w, then after running a graphics card for a few months to a year, it's max capacity might go down to 250w, or something like that.

Yes i know, a 1000Watt PSU is overkill. But you have to ask yourself, what if?
