I cant go for 260 or 280 because i am not in that budget but thoes the 9800 GTX+ uses less power because i have a 800w power supply. Would that work? or i need a new one?

X3 9800GTX's or GTS250 would be about the same price as x2 GTX260. And 800w should be enough for you.

3 way SLI does not necessarily boost game performance. I read a review or two on this and read in forums where people did their own tests and as a matter of fact, in some games 3 way SLI even performed worse then a single card and on average it was equal or just above a 2 way SLI depending on game, driver support and CPU bottleneck.

For now, if you plan on getting a 3rd video card, I'd take the 3rd card and use it for games supporting PhysX instead of 3 way SLI.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't 9800gtx+'s like $130? For the price of three of them you could get 2x 275's (or close to maybe like $10 more).

Again, I might be wrong, but wouldn't 2x 275s outperform 3x 9800gtx+? And your PSU is more than enough for your potential setup

As the others stated, GTX260/275 SLI will be better than TRI SLI 9800GTX+. But if you're planning on getting tri SLI, I would choose the 1GB version of either the 9800/250, I know this because I see that 512MB is already the bottleneck in my SLI setup (can't turn on high AA/AF).

EDIT: I once started a thread about TRI SLI, maybe it helps making your decision.

2x260's makes way more sense than tri-sli 9800's ... esp. 512MB 9800's. If you are gonna do tri-sli with 9800/250, as mentioned above, for SURE you want 1GB per card. You don't want 3 gpus with only 512MB effective VRAM between them ... that's really not enough.
