Everywhere i have read said leave it at 3 but if i read right, it can make games run smooth at low framerate (Crysis, Cryostasis). I set it to 8 which is max and something cryostasis just seems weird. The machine gun fires in awkward bursts (might be completely normal but it would be nice if someone could reassure me of this) and it seems like i was skipping through fields in slow motion. All of a sudden some guy pops into the room and i am getting
14.7 fps? It probably is because i CAN NOT update the game. The update has messed up my install all 3 times i tried (This is because i borrowed the game from my friend and NOTHING ever works when you get it from him lol. I mean you could get a box from him and it will fail you). I dont want to go buy my own copy of the game when 1) i am almost finished with the game and 2) the game is horrible. I mean i didnt believe my friend but after i got bored one day and did nothing but play it untill i fell asleep, i now realise how horrible it is.

Anyways, i was wondering if there was anything i could do to improve the framerate without updating it and without lowering the settings... settings are on high 1920x1080 and ambient occlusion is on in nHancer (it looks amazing and i guess this is the reason i feel the need to finish playing it). AF and AA are off.

id say forget about that game its to stressfull on your pc and doesnt even look like crysis

its one of those things... i HAVE to finish it lol. BTW, it looks pretty good with that ambient occlusion turned on via nHancer but it still looks like crysis on medium.

Main question was should i set my prerendered frame setting to 8 if i dont see any noticable latency between my mouse and screen?
