I had a BFG GTX260 Core 216 but it was 65nm with a back plate. Didn't realise they did a 55nm 192 version??

They don't. This is a 65nm GPU. For example, check out the GPU-Z screenshot above.

yea you receieved the proper card...it says 192core and has the SC clocks..they jus put that retarted red plate lol
__________________btw, i ordered a new card from newegg, a vanilla and when i opened it up an gpu-z, it was clocked at the SC edition lol, called EVGA and they said Merry Xmas lol

I still say that the best way to see which card you ended up with is to look the P/N up on EVGA's website. For example, here's mine: 512-P3-N879-AR
