I just installed an ASUS 9600 GSO and I have it connected to my 32" 720p LCD TV. When I try to change the resolution it only allows me 3-5 choices, the highest of which being 1024x768. I know it can go higher but something is not allowing me to. I have the box unchecked in advanced options (Windows 7 RC1 btw..) but I still can't. The odd thing is that when I try a lower resolution on wide screen like 960x600 it gets a no video sign.
I am using a dvi-vga connector to get it to my vga input on the tv. I was hoping I just had a switch wrong on my card somewhere, or it could be I need a driver for the tv, its under generic plug n play monitor now. What do you think?

Make sure the tv is set to pc input mode. That might help. if you can you might need to look at your manuel to see the highest resolution supported when connecting through vga. I have head of some tvs only allowing certain resolutuons to dispaly dispute the full 1080p or 720p viewing area.

well I had it at 1280x768 before I switched video cards earlier today. The old drivers I had on my ati card had a "force 720p and 1080i" mode but neither one worked actually. And I have had it on 1360x768 before.
My tv is in the only mode that would allow video to be input through the vga port. here is a link to the tv I have: http://insigniaproducts.com/products.../NS-32LCD.html And also applications don't recognize a higher resolution either (Bioshock, wow, warcraft etc.)

720p is 1280x720
And the native resolution for all those HD Ready TV's is 1366x786 @ OP. Try reinstalling the drivers

Won't that force my resolution to 720p or 1080i?
