Get one of the RS series of the APC and not the XS. This will met your needs, http://www.globalcomputer.com/applic...1805&CatId=234. Not as nice looking but the features, and protection are better.

talk him out of it; he has no use for such things except the APC battery
his current stuff isn't broken, so don't fix it

if u do pay tax for global computers, look at newegg
a warehouse in north jersey can get u stuff fast
750tx is $130-20, but the HX is $35 more
get the lower clocked 285 for cheaper and save more w/ MIR + terminator + COD

Just purchase the UPS, and save your money for a future upgrade. I've had mine for over a month, and I am quite happy with it.

so the apc is a go
i would recommend the psu just because its a corsair and i doubt i will ever go with another brand. dont get the gpu because you really dont NEED it at all. the only thing itll do for you is increase your power consumption and heat produced.

What is difference bettween this and the XS From APC??

APC 1500va RS LCD

-----------

Answe some questions. My GPU does do fine in my game. But after an Hour of RvR it slows down.

Worse yet, we defended the Capital city yesterday, with roughly 100 people running around blasting eachother in the face non stop, litterally brought me to about 5 FPS, and I kept noticing Player Models dissapearing which I thin is due to an Inability for my GPU to continue to pump the Textures out fast enough.

-------------------------

ATI 4800 Series runs like Crap on this game supposedly =/

-------------------------

How long must I wait for the beefy version of the 300 Series to be around?

I have had this GPU for 3 years, and would honestly jus tliek to be able to run what I run with some higher level Eye candy without my computer Dieing.

-------------------------

Should I maybe think about a Cheap GTX 260 or GTX 275 as an upgrade fo rnow, and maybe still buy the beefy 300 series later, and maybe use the 260 / 275 as Physx someday?

Tlak me out of this GPU!!!

Personally I think modular should only be your choice if you have money to spare for the extra cost. I also hear that modular PSUs cope less with intensive use compared to non-modular PSUs of the same power rating, but Corsair are good in general so it is less likely to be an issue.
Also, you can get an ati hd 4890 (xfx) for about half the price of the 285, and it is only a little less powerful.
But also, the dx11 cards are not far away, so that is a good reason to wait longer before jumping into a purchase

[QUOTE=StormX2;6824100]What is difference bettween this and the XS From APC??

If the volatge coming out of your electrical outlet drops the XS will boost it. If you the voltage drops or gets to high, the RS model will do both. That is call boost and trim.

Quoted from APC Person

Guru: Back-UPS XS is a retail product.
Guru: The Back-UPS RS models have both 1-line 2-wire phone/fax/modem data-line protection and 10/100base-T ethernet protection, where as the Back-UPS XS models only have 1-line 2-wire phone/fax/modem protection.
Guru: The Back-UPS RS models have both Boost and Trim as features of Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), where as the Back-UPS XS only has Boost. When the input voltage increases above the high transfer point of a Back-UPS XS model it will only go to battery.
Guru: Above are the two basic differences between a RS and XS model UPS.
Guru: Apart from those everything alike.

So if the RS is 167, and the XS is 147, which do I want the most. Considering my fear is that with the Air COnditioning unit turning on and off
