Default Purchase? Talk me Out of it!!!

Ok I need people to be mean, bias and do everything you can to make me believe that buying these item snow is a waiste of my money!

I need a Justification as to why I will wait longer, and till about when lol

Now the only piece of equipment on this list that I will most likely purchase no matter what, will be the APC Back-Ups. Because I do not trust my Power Grid at all.

My Powersupply is getting old and I don't want it to be a potential problem for this nice newer build. I never had Modular and Always end up with 75% more cables than I will ever use from any PSU.
(I feel the 750 watt is mroe than enough for future upgrades as well)

Anyway, here are the items. I am getting them are a decent discoutn as compared to what is actually shown.

B52-2851 :: BFG GeForce GTX 285 OCFU Video Card - 1GB GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0, SLI Ready, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, HDTV (2.55 lbs)

Order Today, Ships Today $345.00
- $25.00 Mail-in Rebate

C13-2510 :: Corsair HX750W 750-Watt Modular Power Supply - Single +12V Rail Design (8.5 lbs)

Order Today, Ships Today $130.00

A75-5002 :: APC Back-UPS XS 1500VA LCD 120V Battery Backup - 865 Watt, 8-Outlets (29.9 lbs)

Order Today, Ships Today $147.00

Shipping will be roughly $31, and no tax.

But Talk me out of any of these items.

one of my clients reccomended this APC unit since I want to Connect my Sig rig, and 20 inch wide to the Backup unit.

Mind you, my PC will most likely, never have more than 2 HDD's at once, 1 GPU at any given time (unless I decide on Physx someday) And when I overclock, i tend to keep Voltage low if not Stock.

More or less, looking for someone to talk me out of this GPU, as an Upgrade from my current one. I felt the 512bit memory would be a proper upgrade.
And this one is called the OverclOCFUked edition lol. whatever that is

oh btw i have the 750watt corsair non modular. i have to say that i love it. i decided to go with it because i know i was going to upgrade and im waiting on the i9's or maybe i7's if they still appeal to me. the sleeving looks nice and the cables arent hard to hide. the 8 pin mobo is LONG. the only thing i didnt like it the spacing of the sata power. 3-4 inches which should really be 2 inches

I will choose to not use SLI, as most of my Gaming is done on a DX9 based MMO, Warhammer Online, which as I hear does nto utilize SLI.

This game is more dependant on how fast and efficient, and how Much textures can be loaded etc. It is not a particularly high quality game. But the higher Memory Interface on my 8800GTS 640 mb seems to allow me to do better than people with newer card with 256bit.

Other than the MMO, various First person shooters, Mos tlikely AvP when it is out.

so GTX 295 is out, and so is SLI. I would only ever in the future think about 2nd card for Physx

I say the power supply and UPS are a go because besides sales and MIR those prices will be pretty consistent. The card on the other hand is a toss up, you will probably get half of the people saying buy it and the other half telling you to wait for the new gen. I say if you have the money you should go for it. Though personally I would look for a 4890 instead.

You have absolutely no life nor friends. You are truly depressed and should use the money to buy mates (and the APC).

That worked?

Don't buy the GTX 285, it gives you testicular cancer!

Seriously, your current card is quite good.

then honestly i wouldnt upgrade. it may sound strange but i have heard people complaining about their high end graphics $300+ performing WORSE(mostly in sli/crossfire) on games such as those. since your using DX9 i would suggest to wait to upgrade. there is no reason why your 8800gts640 shouldnt be able to handle avp. if any of your future games have plans on supporting dx11 which is coming out soon then you can buy another graphics card when the dx11's come out.
i wouldnt mind having your card. my gts 250 hold its own and when i overclock it, the thing runs like a champ. its not like its a GREAT card but who needs 1000 fps? plus i dont have crysis yet lol

well if what you already play is handled properly by your GPU, whats the point in upgrading?

it doesnt sound like you're doing it just for the sake of doing it. Its more like you want it, know your current gpu is aging, and want to upgrade.

Well if Warhammer plays fine, and the other games YOU play work, then wait, the price of pc components lower over time until a certain point. Just keep what you have, get your PSU and UPS and wait and see what is coming out in the future.
