Im looking to upgrade my 9800 pro so I need a better AGP solution, What card can I get that will give me the most bang per buck? Anything unlockable in the x800 or 6800 series? Thanks guys

Well, 6800LE's can be unlocked into full-on 6800's, but in the high end I think a X800GT would be a good bet. Fairly cheap, and great performance.

How would the x800GT be a better bet though? Its got 8 pipes, if you get all of the pipes on the LE then the X800GT has no chance.

Hmm... I might be wrong on this one... I'll find some benchies.

The x800pro vivo would be a good bet as it stands a good chance of unlocking to an x800XT (16 pipelines from 12). Also, the 6800LE is an option, as again, it stands a good chance of unlocking to a 6800GT. The only downside to the latter is that it only has 128MB of Ram as opposed to the x800 which has 256MB of ram.
If you do go for the x800, ensure it's a pro vivo version otherwise it definitely won't unlock.

OK, I looked around a bit and it looks like you have a good chance of unlocking 4 pipelines on the LE, wich would make it about equal to a 6800nu, or about slightly better than a X800GT. About one in 3 cards can unlock 8 pipelines, making it slightly less powerfull than a 6800GT when overclocked. I was wrong, the 6800LE is the better choice, but be warned that one out of every 15 or so wont unlock at all.

For the x800 pro to xt, is a vivo card just any x800 pro with video out/in capability? What company is best? What are the odds of being able to unlock the extra 4 pipes? For the 6800LE what company should I pick? Is it riskier than trying for 16 with the x800pro?

Yes, any card that is an AGP x800 pro vivo stands a good chance. Not sure of the exact %, but it's the majority of cards. If it doesn't flash, just return it and get another one. You'd have to be very unlucky to get 2 that didn't flash and you certainly stand a much better chance of getting the full 16 pipelines than with a 6800LE. As Chipp said above, it's about a 33% chance of unlocking 16 PPs in a 6800LE.
Company doesn't really matter as you're going to be invalidating the warranty anyway.

Read the anandtech review:

Every other review I have seen says the same thing. I ordered one tonight. Will go well with my new DFI SLI-DR and my OCZ PC4000 VX. All I need now is a sweet WC setup and I'll be happy for another year!

He needs AGP, not PCI-E.
