Seriously, I don't get it why some people do this. There's no point to run unstable OC's. Even for bragging rights it's pointless because so what if you can go "that high", why does it matter if you can't run it properly and practically.
Not to mention, the chance of degradation. The electromigration resulting from instability can physically damage the gates in the chip, or something.

What this means, practically, is that running an unstable OC, can make the chip either not boot at the same clocks as it used to, not do it at the same voltage, or both.

Chips from my batch, typically can go right up to the typical bclk wall of 222 stably, even on air. (This is a mobo based wall, btw, my board seems to have a higher wall than 222, because it is a Classified, I guess)

I am totally satisfied with the performance of my PC, especially when it is working.

OT: I saw NIN live in (~1994 or so). Pop Will Eat Itself opened for them. For the NIN show, they projected reptilian eyes over every square inch of the interior of the Worcester Centrum (It was the Centrum IIRC), and the pupils of these million reptile eyes kept dialating and undialating. They also had a large projecter behind them, displaying time lapse movies, I remeber a gerbil decaying in the desert, over the course of weeks, that was one of the movies.

My girlfriend has also been NIN obsessed since Pretty Hate Machine, and has seen them live twice in the last couple years.

Bump.

hey open you should allow people with the same amount of beef as a GTX295 or greater into the thread ie 2x GTX 285's or whatever...then you would get some healthy compitition from lower cards....you could also find out which is more worthwhile GTX295 vs 2x GTX 285 or whatver....not that i could enter with my old 9800 GX2

I would do that but I believe there is already a generic Crysis thread for all video cards which would kinda make my thread pointless. I'm specifically dedicating this thread to all owners of the GTX295 (be it single or dual PCB). The goal of this thread is to find out what combination of hardware/drivers gives people the best performance for Crysis and Crysis Warhead on the GTX295 video card.

I would however like to allow linking to other threads/posts with similar GPU setups (GTX260 SLI, GTX275 SLI, GTX285 SLI) that show the results (purely for comparison/curiosity purposes) so we could see where the GTX295 stands in performance as compared to similar setups. Thank you for your input and I want to assure you your suggestion will not go unnoticed.
