They are decent cards, but they're not really worth it in SLI anymore, since there are new cards that will perform better, run cooler, take less power and support newer things, DX 11, for example.

If it is no cost to you , then sure it is worth it. TBH though I wouldn't spend any money just so I coudl SLI those cards.

As another 8800GTS 640 owner, I have to say, I'd get a new video card before I upgraded my processor. It's really showing its age.

I would go core i7 LGA1366 and get a HD5870 instead of sli those 2 old cards. 1 HD5870 will beat both of these.

IF you want i7 heres a good set up:

Core i7 920
Foxconn Bloodrage or Asus P6T Deluxe V2
OCZ memory:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227381
Sapphire HD5870 or if you want sli i have 2 GTX260 core 216s i could sell you.
Corsair HX750 power supply

What's your e6750 clocked at? You're gonna need at least 3.6Ghz to really open those cards up in SLI.
